Computer Science and Engineering

Course Overview

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2011 and is committed to providing quality education in emerging areas of computer science and engineering. The department regularly organizes National-level seminars on advanced and emerging technologies, along with Career Guidance Programs and Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs to enhance student employability and innovation.

The department is supported by a team of well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty members across all major areas of the discipline. The faculty maintain a strong balance of academic discipline, technical expertise, and student mentorship, ensuring effective teaching-learning outcomes for the growing student community.

The Department of CSE provides extensive computing resources for both education and research. The infrastructure includes more than 300 high-performance computers operating on Linux and Windows platforms. In addition to general-purpose file servers, the department maintains specialized servers for database applications and Linux-based workstations.

The department network infrastructure consists of a robust fiber-optic backbone with 8 Mbps Internet connectivity and a dedicated intranet within the Hi-Tech laboratories. The network is secured and managed using advanced routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring reliable and safe connectivity.

All computer laboratories and their annexures are interconnected through a switched fiber-optic campus network, enabling seamless access to resources from any node across the campus. A wide range of the latest software tools is made available to students. The entire campus computer network, covering all academic blocks across 10 acres, has been designed, implemented, optimized, and maintained by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
