
Objectives of a Faculty Grievance Committee
- Addressing Faculty Concerns: To provide a platform for faculty members to raise grievances, concerns and issues related to their work environment, policies or interactions.
- Promoting Fairness and Transparency: To ensure fairness, transparency and impartiality in addressing faculty grievances, adhering to institutional policies and procedures.
- Resolving Conflicts: To resolve conflicts, disputes, or misunderstandings between faculty members, administrators or other stakeholders in a timely and constructive manner.
- Providing Support and Guidance: To offer support, guidance and counselling to faculty members facing difficulties or challenges, helping them navigate institutional processes.
- Reviewing and Recommending Policy Changes: To review grievances, identify systemic issues, and recommend policy changes or improvements to prevent similar grievances in the future.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: To maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive or personal grievances, ensuring the privacy and dignity of faculty members.
- Fostering a Positive Work Environment: To contribute to creating a positive, respectful and supportive work environment, promoting faculty well-being, job satisfaction and productivity.
Functions & Responsibilities of Faculty Grievance Committee:
- Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (GRAMS) is an online platform available to the stake holders to lodge their grievances to Grievance Officer on any subject related to service delivery.
- The status of the grievance filed in GRAMS can be tracked with the unique registration ID provided at the time of registration of the complainant. GRAMS also provide appeal facility, if they are not satisfied with their solution by the Grievance Officer. After closure of grievance if the complainant is not satisfied with their solution, he/she can provide feedback to the Principal. If you have not got a satisfactory redress of your grievance within a reasonable period, you may seek help of Principal.
- All the grievances of the students/staff which could not be settled in the routine process should be referred to this committee.
- Committee tries to settle the issues amicably in a time bound manner.
- Introduces a reasonable and reliable solution for grievances of various issues received from students/parents.
- Ensures that the grievances are resolved on time impartially and confidentially.
- The committee focuses on the holistic staff development, executes and monitors all the activities regarding the staff development. It conducts training, seminars/workshop & supports activities related to continuing education.
