Course Overview

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 2011 and offers a strong academic foundation supported by active teaching and research. The department currently has an intake of 120 students and is committed to achieving global excellence in education, research, and technology development.

The department is actively involved in teaching and research across key areas such as communication systems, signal processing, VLSI, and electronic systems. It is equipped with state-of-the-art modeling, computational, experimental, calibration, and testing facilities to support industrial consultancy and Research & Development (R&D) activities.

With a strong focus on undergraduate education, the department is supported by a team of renowned, experienced, and young dynamic faculty members who are dedicated to delivering quality education and fostering innovation among students.

The department maintains strong industry interaction and has been involved in the development of state-of-the-art products for industrial applications. To support advanced learning and research, the department is equipped with the latest software tools such as MULTISIM, CADENCE IC, LabVIEW, Xilinx, and MATLAB.

In order to keep pace with rapid technological advancements, the department regularly organizes National Conferences, Workshops, Symposiums, and Seminars on emerging trends in electronics and communication engineering.

Qualification for B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering:

  • Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination
  • Must have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as core subjects
  • Secured the minimum aggregate marks as prescribed by AICTE / State Government / Anna University norms
  • Admission through Government Counselling / Management Quota as applicable
