Course Overview

The B.Tech – Information Technology (IT) programme is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in computing technologies and information systems. The programme is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

This undergraduate programme provides a strong foundation in programming, data structures, databases, computer networks, web technologies, cloud computing, and emerging areas of information technology. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience to meet the evolving needs of the IT industry.

The programme is supported by qualified and experienced faculty members specializing in various domains of information technology. Well-equipped computer laboratories with modern hardware and the latest software tools enable students to gain practical exposure and develop problem-solving and analytical skills.

Students are encouraged to participate in industrial internships, live projects, workshops, seminars, certification programmes, and technical events. With a strong focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and placement-oriented training, the programme aims to produce competent IT professionals capable of pursuing successful careers, higher education, and research.

Qualification for B.Tech Information Technology

• Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination
• Must have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as core subjects
• Secured the minimum aggregate marks as prescribed by AICTE / State Government / University norms
• Admission through Government Counselling / Management Quota as applicable
