The M.E – Industrial Safety programme is designed to develop professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in industrial safety engineering, risk management, and occupational health. The programme is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
This postgraduate programme focuses on the identification, analysis, and control of hazards in industrial environments. The curriculum covers areas such as safety engineering, industrial hygiene, fire safety, accident prevention, safety management systems, environmental safety, and statutory regulations, with emphasis on both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
The programme is supported by experienced and qualified faculty members with expertise in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, and industrial management. Well-equipped laboratories and safety simulation facilities provide hands-on training and practical exposure to real-world industrial safety challenges.
Students gain industry exposure through case studies, industrial visits, safety audits, internships, and project work in collaboration with industries. The programme aims to produce competent safety professionals capable of contributing to safe and sustainable industrial operations, regulatory compliance, research, and consultancy.
